I'm super excited about this gift guide, which has been put together for y'all by five of my favorite lingerie bloggers.
Krista is one of the longest running contributors at The Lingerie Addict. Avigayil of Lingerie Detective writes about plus size lingerie as well as issues specific to the indie and international scene. Anna of Bras and Body Image has been blogging about the intersection of bras and society for 4+ years. And y'all have met Sweet Nothings and Amber of Scarlet's Letter, both of whom I've interviewed here on the Bluestockings Blog, and both of whom run premiere full bust-focused blogs.
These women are completely rad people who know their stuff, so I am very grateful to have them all contributing to Bluestockings' first ever Valentine's Day Gift Guide.
(Hint: black is the new black.)
Krista's Pick: the Hawa Bodysuit by Dottie's Delights
The Hawa bodysuit by Dottie’s Delights is at the top of my current lust list! Topped with a blazer and a pencil skirt or a wide-leg trouser, this versatile piece can go from the boardroom to the bedroom and anywhere in between. Whether you are more modern or retro, you can rock this subtly sheer bodysuit.
What most impresses me about this piece is that the size range fits an XS through 3X! It’s rare I see a brand encompass such a diverse range of sizes, so love that Dottie’s Delights is filling that need. Also, at $79, it’s a great value.
Avigayil at Lingerie Detective's Pick: the Slinky Black Satin Ballet Wrap Robe by RavenDreams
It is exceedingly difficult to buy lingerie for someone who is plus-sized. We are well aware that one size does not fit all and that the larger you are the greater the variance in shape. Some plus-size people have large tummies and others carry the weight around their thighs and hips. Moreover, many plus size-individuals are sensitive about their weight so asking your partner "what size do you wear" may not be an option when you are looking to buy something special. This is why I have chosen the Slinky Black Satin Ballet Wrap Robe by RavenDreams as my Valentine's lingerie pick.
The Ballet Wrap robe fits a myriad of shapes because of ample fabric combined with a loose, flowing design. The robe is designed to fit sizes XL through 3X – which is fantastic! Look, it is stupid difficult for plus-size women to name a specific size because XL, 1X, 2X, 3X are all SUCH arbitrary terms using different dimensions: whereas we come in all different shapes and distributions. However, this specific robe accommodates up to a 47" waist and 53" hip giving plenty of room for plus-size women on the smaller end and a great fit for women on the upper end of that range.
This robe checks of so many things on my own wish list: it will fit beautifully, look amazing, match everything I own (I just love black), and pull double-duty in my wardrobe. The innerwear as outerwear trend is a great way to maximize value from an investment piece such as this robe. As this robe is made of black satin with such an interesting bottom cut (sort of like a ringmaster’s jacket), it can be used as a layering piece. Layer this robe over jeans and a black turtleneck sweater or a skirt and pretty camisole with black shoes to match.
This black satin is sumptuous and decadent – I picture wearing this robe while drinking red wine and eating dark chocolate truffles. While I cannot speak for those who identify with androgynous lingerie, I find the robe incredibly appealing as a bi-femme with goth tendencies. I also notoriously hate red. For me, Valentine’s Day is about celebrating your and your lover’s love for each other with whatever colour represents your togetherness: be that black, red, pink, or heliotrope.

Sweet Nothings' Picks: Black Cat Crop Top and Black Cat Briefs by Knickerocker + the Bow Playsuit by Dottie's Delights
Why was I agonizing over my V-day pick, it's obviously the Knickerocker set. While I am an unrepentant cat lady, in general I prefer actual cats to cat-printed, cat-decorated, or cat-inspired clothing/decor.
However, this set is so charming and cheeky that it totally wins me over, and I think it would make for awesome warm-weather loungewear, should it ever, in fact, be warm again.
My second choice, because I never can just pick one thing, is the Dottie's Delights Bow Playsuit, because it's both daring and sweet, and I'm hopeful the lovely stretchy mesh will be both tall-person-friendly and full-bust-friendly.

Amber of Scarlet's Letter's Pick: the Imogen Button Bra and Button Brief by Playful Promises
From the brand new Playful Promises Fuller Bust Collection, Imogen is sassy and confident. Imogen is a sleek black set made of soft satin, but don't get things crossed - this set is anything but boring! In a world full of bows and frills, Imogen is the sophisticated big sister.
The lightly padded bra offers lift and support for DD-G cups and 32-36 bands, with a full cup style. Instead of having a bow at the center gore, Imogen kicks things up a notch with not one, but thats right count them... three buttons! Wear this as a basic every day set, or dress this set up for a night on the town under your favorite formal wear. The bra features smooth straps, paneled cups and a firm yet forgiving power mesh band. It lifts the bust and offers a rounded shape to the bustline, showcasing your assets without a ton of padding.
To add a little mystique and intrigue, the matching button brief has you covered - literally! This panty features a classic brief cut style, with full coverage. Made of black satin, it's smooth and offers a bit of stretch to hug your body. This is no ordinary LBP (Little Black Panty), because the back of the brief features a double keyhole design, with matching satin buttons.
I love that this set is so versatile, and anyone could rock it no matter what your lingerie taste may be. If you're looking for something sultry and playful, Imogen is it. If you're looking for something comfortable and pretty without being overtly feminine? Imogen is it.

Anna at Bras and Body Image's V-Day Pick: the Binding Brief by FYI by Dani Read
Something that's definitely on my Valentine's Day wish list this year has to be the Binding Brief from FYI by Dani Read. What I love about this piece is the versatility of it - the 5ft long silk sash can be wrapped around the waist and tied in a bow for a softer, feminine look, it can be wrapped over the shoulders and around the body to create a harness, and of course, it can be used for bondage play.
In terms of bondage, the unique nature of these briefs makes them a great choice for experienced bondage enthusiasts, while the soft silk fabric means they shouldn't be intimidating for those just starting out.
They're also really wearable - the long sash gives so many possibilities, meaning they can be styled for bedroom wear, outerwear, and pretty much anything in between that you can think of. If you're looking for something for a bondage or fashion enthusiast, I think these would make a great gift.
