Halloween is one week from today! Which means that half of us have been planning since November 1 of last year, and the other half of us are planning... now. (High five to my fellow last minute folks!)
Lingerie is a great option for Halloween, in part because it's the one day of the year where you can be as undressed in public as you want without getting slapped with a public indecency ticket. But lingerie is also solid because the best costumes are the ones with a high level of attention to detail - and all of the pieces below will help your costume go the extra mile.
Oh also? All of them are A+ choices for any witch (or #nastywoman) costume you could possibly wear.
I tried to come up with another word because "sexy" is not really a word we use here at Bluestockings...
BUT ARE THESE NOT THE SEXIEST HOLD UPS YOU HAVE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE LET'S BE REAL
For all y'all who are masquerading as superheroes or Steampunk wenches or BDSM-inspired folks: these hold-ups (or thigh highs, whichever you prefer) should definitely be included in your costume.
And for all y'all going as something different... these should probably be in your wardrobe, anyway.
When it comes to ever-so-slightly macabre lingerie, this Dino Bone Bra takes the cake. Let's be totally real: this is 100% Halloween-ready. You could just tell everyone you're a character from Jurassic Park. Or that you're dressing up as a Paleontologist, which you always wanted to be when you grew up (it's never too late!).
Fashionable (and functional) Gloves
Where I'm from, the weather on October 31 is a complete guessing game. These hand-knit fingerless gloves from Maude Nibelungen are an A+ addition to any costume for someone who might need an extra layer throughout the evening.
And, umm, the gloves are gorgeous and very witch aesthetic meets sexy librarian.
Multi-Purpose Luxury Robes
"Multi-purpose" and "luxury" don't usually go in the same sentence but hear me out:
I will never stop singing the praises of robes, which are 100% the most functional and least appreciated piece of any person's wardrobe. Honestly. When you buy a robe like this, you can wear it out in public. Over a fancy dress. With your Downton Abbey costume. With a bowtie. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT, PEOPLE.
Show your love of robes this Halloween, and wear it as a costume and then wear it every day of your life, the end.
